Youth Group

Youth Group Leaders

If you are looking for a youth group experience where young people, ages 12 through 18 can connect with others through fun and dynamic programs, then this is for you!   Our Youth Group organizes everything from creative religious experiences, social action, and relevant educational programming with topics teens care about.  We focus on leadership skills, community service, and cultural events combined with recreational opportunities for everyone to just get together and “hang out.”

We also recognize that we don’t exist in a vacuum.  That’s why our Youth Group regularly connects with synagogue Youth Groups from temples in other parts of Suffolk County.  In fact, because of our temple’s focus on multi-culturalism and religious tolerance, we periodically connect our Youth Group with neighboring houses of worship from Roman Catholic, Protestant, and Muslim.

Upcoming activities include local day trips to destinations in the metro New York City area, bowling, and a trip to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

Past events include a highly successful Pasta Dinner fundraiser, as well as a Welcoming Party hosted by Rabbi and Silvia Altman.
