WELCOME!

Rabbi

The reality is that most of us live in communities where there are few Jewish families.  That's what makes Friday night services at the Mastic Beach Hebrew Center so special; Jews from throughout central Suffolk experience our friendly, warm, open atmosphere with fellow Jewish families.
The Mastic Beach Hebrew Center takes pride in providing a relaxed, family-friendly environment.  It's fine if a small child makes a little noise or walks the aisles near mom or dad during services — we understand!  Services start at 8:00pm are kept to an hour or less with much of it in English.  Note: Once a month we hold a 7:15pm "Family Service."  Please check our online calendar for the schedule.

Following each Friday service is an Oneg — a social hour filled with food and friendship.  We welcome members to sponsor an Oneg to mark a special occasion such as a birthday or a wedding anniversary.
The kids go off with their peers to socialize and play during the Oneg.  The young ones have games and toys.  The older ones have videos and a Playstation.  And the teens — too "cool" for it all — "hang out" in the lobby.
That's why the Mastic Beach Hebrew Center's mission statement is "Going to Temple shouldn't be a chore."   We know that after joining us once or twice, you and your family will enjoy being a part of our unique Jewish experience.
